A Call For Footpath Ride Ban

In our ongoing commitment to fostering community well-being, we've expanded our platform to include e-scooter and e-bike operators, providing us with a unique lens to understand their influence on the areas we call home.

Within the first 10 months of 2023 Snaps of e-scooters clogging up footpaths have risen 13%, with nearly 50% specially mentioning inappropriate parking of the devices. Adelaide City Council's Deputy Lord Mayor, Phil Martin, stands at the forefront of advocating for the responsible integration of e-scooters into urban landscapes.

While acknowledging the undeniable presence of e-scooters and e-bikes in our daily lives, he emphasises the need to preserve footpaths as e-scooter-free zones as “E-scooters are here to stay.” The move to add e-scooter and e-bike operators to our platform is more than just a technological expansion; it's a  endeavour to keep our communities accessible and safe.
