Squads Spotlight

Clean Team

A neighbourhood Squad turned their once graffiti-covered streets into a clean and welcoming area by working together and Snapping every issue they saw. Their success inspired nearby neighbourhoods to start their own Squads!

Senior Society

This Squad of walkers joined forces to Snap accessibility issues in their community, ensuring that people with disabilities and low vision can navigate their surroundings safely and with ease.

Park Protectors

Nature lovers formed a Squad to keep their local park pristine, reporting everything from broken benches to litter. Now, their park is the go-to spot for weekend picnics and community events.

Squads FAQs

What is Squads?

Squads is an app feature that allows Snappers to join or create groups focused on a shared mission. Within a Squad, members can collaborate by Snapping and tracking their collective impact on the issues they care about. It’s a way to bring like-minded people together to achieve common goals through coordinated efforts.

Who can join a Squad?

Access to a Squad is managed through a unique Squad code that all Squad members can see and share. Here’s how Squad access works:

Sharing the Squad Code: Every Squad member can see and share the unique Squad code with others.

Control Over Sharing: The Squad creator sets the guidelines on how strictly the code should be shared. It’s up to them to inform invitees if they want to limit who can join. However, there are no built-in controls in the product to restrict code distribution.

Leaving the Squad: Once someone joins a Squad, they can’t be removed or denied access by others. The only way for a member to leave a Squad is to sign out on their own.

This system ensures that Squad access is straightforward, but it also relies on responsible sharing by Squad members.

Is my personal information shared with my Squad?

When you create a Snap and tag the Squad, other Snappers in your Squad will see your first name and the initial of your last name. They won’t see any other personal information.

However, they will see the details of your Snap, including:

- Incident type
- Time created
- Description
- Photos added
- Location of the incident

This helps everyone in the Squad stay informed and engaged with the reported issues.
