Solver Scoop: New features & resources for precise location data

Ready to supercharge the quality of your Snaps?

We've rolled out some updates to ensure you receive high-quality information from your community more easily and more often.

In this edition of the Scoop we’ll cover:

- Recent app improvements we've made to ensure Snappers set their location with pinpoint accuracy

- See how the City of Port Phillip obtains extra information from customers upfront with customised questions about location

- Marketing assets you can access and share to encourage your community to ensure their location is correct

App and web form updates to improve the location you receive in Snaps

We've recently rolled out a number of updates to the Snap Send Solve app to ensure your community provides accurate, detailed and ultimately, actionable Snaps. If you use our website integration, these updates have been added to the form as well.

Here's what's new:

Tips on the photo upload screen

We prompt Snappers to capture multiple angles when attaching photos to their Snaps, so you can see the exact nature of the request as well as important context about location and risk profile.

Added prompts for additional information

We've added in-app guidance to encourage Snappers provide helpful information about their request.

When the location has not been set

When a photo is missing location data, we:

- Alert the Snapper immediately

- Provide an interactive map to pin the exact location

- Allow zoom functionality for precise placement, ensuring every request comes with accurate location information your teams can trust

Preventing accidental address changes

In case of accidental swipes changing the Snap location, we’ve added additional messaging to let Snappers know when their map pin location does not match the image location.

Noticed a Snap location that could be that little bit better?

Even with these improvements, if you notice any Snaps that could have improved location accuracy, use the thumbs down feature in the Portal to let us know.

Additional questions: A game changer for the City of Port Phillip

The City of Port Phillip in Victoria is maximising their efficiency by using Snap Send Solve to balance a great customer experience while getting all the information needed to triage service requests accurately.

By adding specific prompts like “Which of the following descriptions best describes the dumped rubbish?” and "Is the waste at the front, side or rear of the property?", has helped cut response time.

These questions can be added to any category type to get the full picture upfront and are easily updated when your requirements change.
