Illegal dumping is on the radar again, and the numbers are telling.

As highlighted in a recent Yahoo News article, building waste blown onto public land in Moorabool Shire led to a $9,880 fine warning. It’s part of a wider issue that councils are tackling across Australia.

In Victoria alone, there were 263,000 Snaps of illegally dumped rubbish sent via Snap Send Solve in the last year.

Our CEO, Danny Gorog, noted:

"Whether it’s dumped tyres in fields or household waste dumped in laneways, it shows we need better solutions to make proper disposal easier and more convenient.

"While most people do the right thing, it only takes a few to create a big mess for everyone else."

From dumped tyres to loose construction materials, illegal dumping affects shared spaces, and the sharp rise in Snaps shows communities are taking notice and speaking up.
