PerthNow puts WA councils in the spotlight

Snap Send Solve has been featured in PerthNow, with a look at how Western Australian councils stacked up in our first-ever Community Satisfaction Index, and the results are worth a high five.

The article highlights that WA councils scored an average satisfaction rating of 62.7%, edging just above the national average of 61.2%. Even with plenty of Snaps coming in, WA councils are clearly getting a lot right and they’re listening to what still needs improving.

Top concerns from WA residents?

  • Rubbish and bins
  • Parking problems
  • Abandoned shopping trolleys
  • Park and facility maintenance
  • Tree management

More than 75,000 Australians took part in the Index, with Snap Send Solve drawing on reports sent to 125 of WA’s 137 councils over the past year.

The article also spotlights Mandurah as the top-performing council in the country, with Cockburn, Gosnells, Stirling, and Joondalup rounding out WA’s strong presence in the national top 10. That means half of Australia’s best-rated councils are right here in WA.

Our CEO, Danny Gorog, said WA councils are doing a great job staying connected with their communities.

“We have relationships with lots of councils in WA and I think they’re absolutely providing a great service to the community… If I compare driving around the suburbs of Perth to the suburbs in Sydney or Melbourne, you can tell that it’s neater.”

And it shows: nine in ten reports in WA were marked as Solved last year.
